Bookcases for Bedrooms
Now, I have just moved into my new house, and have also had the joy purchasing a new oak bookcase, in order to store my ever increasing library. The chosen product was a small bookcase, with only 2 shelves, that doubles as a bedside table, and due to the the weight of oak, is quite durable and stable.
I am a big fan of having a range of different bookcases throughout your house. My living room, for example, has a giant, 4 shelf barrister bookshelf, that stores a whole range of items, such as my academic textbooks, family photos, precious ornaments and CDs. However, my new bedroom bookcase is a far more personal piece of furniture.
Only my favorite books are kept within its shelves, whose pages and edges have worn thin from intensive use. A solitary picture of my fiance rests on top of the bookcase, alongside a very small bonsai tree that was given to me from one of my oldest friends.
Furniture has the amazing ability to add an incredibly amount of vitality, warmth and richness to a room, and the bedroom is no exception. Remember that a bedroom says a hell of a lot about the kind of person that you are, so use this opportunity to splash your personality around the room with vigor!
